Jean Louis Sénatus (Haiti)

Jean-louis Sénatus was born in Léogâne in 1949. He began drawing and painting in his teens, and studied at the Lope de Véga Institute, then at the Foyer des Arts Plastiques. In 1973 he joined the group of "Nouvellistes" which opened up new perspectives to primitive art. Just one year later he moved to the Galerie Monnin joining Roosevelt Sanon, St-Louis Blaise, Fritzner Lamour, as he quickly became the leader of the school known as " The Atelier Monnin ”. He has exhibited in multiple solo and group exhibitions around the globe.
